Este próximo 6 de junio, miércoles 21.00 horas, actuará en el Bogui Jazz de Madrid, la formación Vein con el saxofonista Dave Liebman, reconocido por haber actuado en una de las formaciones más interesantes de Miles Davis (en el Festival de la Isla de Wight de 1970). Este proyecto se mueve con destreza a través de piezas de intenso groove, lírica y rítmicamente, y entre los armónicamente complejos y abiertos pasajes de su interesantísimo y logrado repertorio.

Desde que Vein fue fundado, el trío ha unido fuerzas con regularidad con músicos invitados en proyectos con los que romper horizontes, en expansión.
Ahora, se han unido de nuevo, formando un cuarteto igualmente emocionante y poco convencional, con Dave Liebman, el gran saxofonista con quien Vein han estado tocando desde el año 2009.
Este es el punto de encuentro de cuatro músicos que van camino de vuelta, sabiendo precisamente que hacen una gran mezcla musical juntos.
Al igual que el trío ha creado una interacción casi simbiótica -reuniendo en este proyecto sus antecedentes, su formidable unión musical y su concepto de máxima igualdad para todos los miembros- nunca dejamos de encontrar una adición muy inspiradora en Dave Liebman.
Liebman, con su estilo distintivo y moderno que es siempre respetuoso con la tradición, es uno de los saxofonistas más importantes de la escena del jazz de hoy. Magistralmente se mueve a través de piezas de intenso groove, lírica y rítmicamente, y entre los armónicamente complejos y abiertos pasajes del repertorio del cuarteto, que se compone principalmente de sus propias composiciones.
Y, por último, pero no por ello menos importante, para sus jóvenes compañeros músicos, Dave Liebman es la personalización de un pedazo de la historia del jazz: Desde los años 60, ha estado tocando con todos los grandes del jazz y eso es precisamente lo que él incorpora en su estilo y lo que se ha convertido en un aspecto fundamental para VEIN: el espíritu de esta música.
De este modo, esta colaboración se basa en el respeto mutuo máximo; otra razón por la que este cuarteto funciona tan bien en su conjunto.
